Deep black and olive green tones meet expressive forms in this refined, contemporary composition. In Paper Planes IV, energetic marks and expressive movement establish the character of the abstract composition. The eye moves between layered forms and open passages, allowing colour and mark-making to establish the structure of the piece. The result is an original painting with a confident visual presence and enough subtlety to reward closer viewing.
The visual language takes cues from colour, movement and the spontaneous language of contemporary abstraction. Black, green and brown tones anchor the palette, with secondary notes adding nuance and depth rather than competing for attention. Subtle shifts between the dominant and supporting tones keep the surface visually varied without disturbing the overall balance. Together, the elements create a distinctive contemporary artwork with a composed, gallery-like presence.
