Our unrivalled art and frames are designed and made in our London workshop. By using cutting edge modern technology and our in-house team of experts, we have developed a destination where everyone can find art they love and enjoy in their house.
Creatives At Heart
Our journey of art began in 2013. A family business with strong values of quality, authenticity and providing a truly personal service, our Founders Summer & Omar Obaid started as a husband and wife team. Former media executives, the creative duo wanted to combine their passion for art, interiors and design to create a unique platform where art lovers could browse and buy beautiful, handcrafted original art of the highest quality. It was important to champion British manufacturing while making it accessible and affordable to everyone.
Omar, a passionate painter, worked on many private residential and commercial commissions over the years, and in 2017, when the company invested in their own framing facility and rapidly expanded the team, Abstract House, our brand, was born. Our values remain core to our business, and in 2018, we introduced the Abstract House Promise, our pledges to our customers and the environment.
Abstract House is now the UK’s most loved sustainable art gallery, with numerous recognitions and awards.
In 2021, we received a Commendation for Sustainability, and in 2023, we were voted finalists in the Best Retail Business and Most Sustainable Business in the West London Business Chambers Awards.

Abstract House is proudly the UK’s most sustainable art gallery. In fact, we were the first art gallery to transform our manufacturing by crafting and packaging our products using 100% recyclable and plastic-free materials.
By creating eco-friendly products, we can ensure we build an environment for the new generation to enjoy for centuries to come.
We do as much as possible to help our planet, our cardboard boxes and paper tape is 100% recyclable, and our frames and fine art paper are FSC Certified - without any plastic in sight - to ensure we do our bit to help protect our forests and wildlife.
We're always striving to improve our conservation efforts, and we have new sustainability projects coming soon.
