Layered forms and layered colour create depth and movement across the canvas. The interplay of soft blues, earthy browns, and navy tones builds atmospheric richness—colours chosen to enhance the composition's emotional resonance rather than overwhelm it. Subtle shifts between dominant and supporting tones keep the surface visually engaging without sacrificing balance.
The painting balances intensity with restraint. Expressive passages are punctuated by quieter areas that allow the eye to rest, creating a composition with genuine presence and breathing room. This tension between energy and calm gives the work its distinctive character—contemporary, refined, and unapologetically emotive.
At 100x76cm, Intensity commands wall space while maintaining the intimacy of original brushwork and surface detail visible only in person.
