Olive green and deep black tones meet expressive forms in this refined, contemporary composition. In Infinity 45, layered forms and expressive mark-making establish the character of the botanical composition. Organic silhouettes and curved forms create a natural rhythm, balanced by quieter areas of open space. The result is an original painting with a confident visual presence and enough subtlety to reward closer viewing.
The composition recalls the organic silhouettes, movement and imperfect beauty found in nature, translated through green and black tones and a restrained set of supporting tones. Colour is used to create atmosphere as much as contrast. The secondary colours are used sparingly, adding depth and contrast while allowing the main palette to remain clearly defined. These cooler tones create a composed, restful mood without flattening the energy of the artwork.
