Crisp white and deep red tones meet expressive forms in this refined, contemporary composition. The character of Composition In Red, Black And Taupe comes from layered forms and expressive mark-making, used with restraint across the abstract composition. The eye moves between layered forms and open passages, allowing colour and mark-making to establish the structure of the piece. The art print retains a strong focal presence while allowing quieter passages to give the composition room to breathe.
At the heart of the artwork is white, red and black tones, chosen to support the composition rather than dominate it. The forms and colour relationships evoke colour, movement and the spontaneous language of contemporary abstraction. The palette is carefully controlled, so brighter or darker accents add interest without pulling attention away from the composition. Its softer tonal range keeps the piece sophisticated and calm while still allowing the artwork to hold its own visually.
