Extra Large Wall Art

Abstract art comes into its own at scale. A large abstract piece can carry a whole room's colour scheme, anchor an open-plan space or give a high-ceilinged wall the weight it needs. Bold, gestural work brings energy to living and dining rooms. Soft, textured neutrals hold a calm room together without dominating it. Because there's no fixed subject, a large abstract reads well from across the room and still rewards a closer look.

The wall above the sofa is where large art matters most. Aim for a piece about two-thirds the width of the sofa, hung with the bottom of the frame 15–25 cm above the back. If one piece can't cover the width, a pair or a set of three works just as well. Our canvas size guide has the full measurements, and art for your living room gathers pieces chosen with seating in mind.

Framed prints are giclée printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 310gsm cotton paper with archival pigment inks and finished in FSC-certified frames, ideal for a tailored look. Canvas is unglazed, with no glare, and has a softer, painterly depth. Browse our large canvas wall art for canvas only. For a one-of-a-kind piece with real surface texture, an original painting is the ultimate large statement; see our original art collection.
