Warm beige and muted yellow tones meet expressive forms in this refined, contemporary composition. In You Will Know When You Get There, energetic marks and expressive movement establish the character of the expressionist composition. Gesture and colour carry the structure of the piece, creating movement through changes in pressure, density and tone. The result is an original painting with a confident visual presence and enough subtlety to reward closer viewing.
Echoing colour, movement and the spontaneous language of contemporary abstraction, the palette is built around beige, yellow and brown tones, supported by quieter secondary colours that bring variation to the composition. Changes in tone and intensity create visual depth, helping the composition feel layered rather than flat or overly decorative. The restrained palette gives the artwork a quiet confidence and a timeless, collected feel.
