Soft blue and rich teal tones meet expressive forms in this refined, contemporary composition. In Infinity 61, layered forms and expressive mark-making establish the character of the botanical composition. Organic silhouettes and curved forms create a natural rhythm, balanced by quieter areas of open space. The result is an original painting with a confident visual presence and enough subtlety to reward closer viewing.
The composition recalls the organic silhouettes, movement and imperfect beauty found in nature, translated through blue and green tones and a restrained set of supporting tones. Colour is used to create atmosphere as much as contrast. Changes in tone and intensity create visual depth, helping the composition feel layered rather than flat or overly decorative. These cooler tones create a composed, restful mood without flattening the energy of the artwork.
