Gallery Climate Coalition
"Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do."
Abstract House is a member of the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC).
Abstract House is a purpose-led business, passionate about sustainability since the business launched over 10 years ago. Abstract House wants to make the art world a better place, and the company believes you should feel good about your suppliers. After continuously challenging itself to improve sustainability efforts, Abstract House joined the GCC to enhance their team's efforts collectively to reduce impact to the environment amidst the climate change crisis.
What Is The GCC?
The GCC is an organisation set up to facilitate a reduction of the art sector’s greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030 (in line with the Paris Agreement’s goal) and to promote zero-waste practices. Today, Abstract House operates as a carbon neutral business. Every stage of the studio's operations from handpainted original art, giclée printing, framing, packaging and logistics has been assessed and will be audited and published annually.

How Abstract House became certified.
Abstract House joined in 2026 and is working towards the award of active member status. The GCC challenges each member to produce an Environmental Impact report and Carbon Report annually. In 2026, Abstract House became carbon-neutral, and instead of joining organisations that declare to plant trees, Abstract House is taking that challenge on themselves through their launch of Abstract House Foundation.
Abstract House's Environmental Responsibility Rider
We are an Artist/Collective and a GCC member. This means we are committed to reducing the environmental impacts of the art sector and reaching a 50% reduction in emissions and near-zero waste across the sector by 2030.
As a GCC member, I see environmental responsibility as a collective aim, and this rider as the start of a conversation. If you don’t think you can action something that’s on this list, let’s explore this together. I/We are open to discussing any potential challenges or perceived impasses on this rider.
Best Wishes,
The Team at Abstract House x
The Abstract House Foundation
We're on a mission to plant 1,000 trees.
In 2026, we launched the Abstract House Foundation. It's more than just a concept. We're partnering with local communities, councils, schools to add some life through tree planting in spaces that need to add a little greenery to improve community wellbeing.
