In 2014, when Sophie was searching for a stair runner for her West London home, she couldn’t find the style she wanted. She liked the classic striped look, but wanted to find something with a bit more character and colour. With an artistic and design background, Sophie created her own runner using traditional weaving techniques.

No sooner was it installed in her home, the requests for Sophie to make runners for guests started flying in. Sophie then created her first collection, and Sophie Cooney Runners was born.
